Child Safety Statement

Birdwings Forest School Child Safety and Wellbeing Statement

At Birdwings Forest School, we are committed to creating an environment of safety, wellbeing and empowerment for every child. We uphold the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and comply with the 10 Child Safe Standards through our policies, procedures, training and recruitment practices.

We recognise and respect the unique needs of all children, including those who are vulnerable, such as children with disability, children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and place children’s voices at the centre of our practice. We actively listen to children and young people, ensuring they feel safe, supported and valued in their experiences with us.

We are committed to working in partnership with families and our community to build a culture of openness, respect and continuous improvement. Feedback is always welcomed, and our doors remain open for conversation and collaboration.
