Access and Inclusion Statement
At Birdwings Forest School, we welcome participants of all ages and abilities to connect with nature in meaningful ways. We are committed to providing clear and honest information so you can decide if our programs are the right fit for your needs.
Our programs take place in a natural bushland setting in the Gold Coast Hinterland, including creeks, rainforest and paddocks. Activities generally involve walking on uneven ground, moving through shallow water, and some light climbing or scrambling. Due to this environment, our programs are not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility aids that require stable, even surfaces.
Participants who are neurodivergent or have additional needs are warmly welcomed. Our mentors may be able to adapt aspects of the experience where possible, however we are not able to provide individualised one-to-one support. A carer or support person is required where one-to-one support is needed for participation.
We encourage all participants to consider their comfort in outdoor environments when booking. Please contact us if you have any questions about your accessibility needs. We are always open to a conversation and will do our best to support your experience.
